After Austin’s legendary SXSW festival had to shut down just a week before it kicked off in 2020 due to COVID, its triumphant return was set to be one for the books. When Variety contacted us to help them create a space for their celebrity interviews at the 2022 festival, we knew we wanted something that celebrated the spirit of Austin with a film-centric vibe. What better way than to turn the space into a film set that the actors and artists would not soon forget? We outfitted the space in traditional American southwest textures and colors and mixed in more modern elements to bring in the personality of Austin. No detail was overlooked - from the photos on the walls to the blankets and pillows and even the vases, books and plants on the wall shelf and tables. Everything worked together to create an inviting space that everyone loved and even Grammy-winning artist Sheryl Crow said, “it’s so beautiful, I want to live in here!”
