In 2022, Fender unveiled the Player Plus Meteora Bass Guitar, a mash-up of guitar styles from their 75-year run in innovative, gorgeous and playable instruments. For the launch of what will surely be another Fender classic, we curated a dinner party experience for the media and press to familiarize themselves with the Meteora. The evening’s menu was a special collaboration between Celebrity Chef Alton Brown and Fig & Olive’s Culinary Director, Chef Alain Allegretti. Alton was joined by Grammy-Nominated Artist Michelle Zauner, of the experimental pop band Japanese Breakfast, in hosting our evening of food and music. The dinner conversation explored the parallels of food and guitar design and the experience was a reminder that in the same way a good meal with friends does, music feeds the soul.
